His father, Elder T.E Oyakhilome (Assemblies of God Church, Benin City), was one the pioneers. His first son Pastor Chris was truly an source of inspiration for him. Being raised in a family which is committed to a pure Christian message is a real blessing.
We can only imagine how proud the deceased father must have felt seeing his firstborn son share the Gospel message that Jesus Christ is the Savior. The legacy of his father must have had a tremendous influence on young Chris Oyakhilome. He began his first crusade when he was only nine years old.
Chris Oyakhilome has stayed true to his vow to pay tribute to his parents. Pastor Chris is a faithful Christian who has honored his father through organizing prayer groups in college as well as preaching sermons for millions.

Pastor Chris's sister, Katty Worghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music & Arts Ministry (LMAM). Katty was a formidable choir member when she started. Some of the most popular LoveWorld songs are the result of her songwriting talents. She is the one who composed "I Believe In Nigeria"

Pastor Chris and Anita were blessed with two amazing daughters through their union. Although he and Anita the ex-wife of his may have decided to end their marriage, they continue to love their daughters Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Both of them currently reside in London.

As a businessman, and as the CEO of Carel Films Enterprise he can help spread the Good News via modern communication channels. He has created more than 100 Christian music videos or animated films.
At 20 years old, he had won three times the American Academy of Animations Award. He was also a winner of the Walt Disney Award and nominated for the Future African Leaders Award FALA. His true genius is his ability to shine illumination on the talents of others.
